3 min read
Overview
ALIAS is a no-KYC virtual card platform that enables users to spend cryptocurrency anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Built on Solana, ALIAS bridges the gap between crypto and traditional payments.
Key Feature
Create virtual cards in under 2 minutes with just a Solana wallet—no identity verification required.
Core Features
ALIAS Card
Virtual Mastercard issuance with two provisioning methods:
- Instant Cards (x402 protocol): Sub-2-minute issuance with immediate card details
- Pre-created Cards (Reloadly): Bulk assignment system for scalable provisioning
Each card is a fully functional virtual Mastercard that can be used for:
- Online shopping
- Subscription services
- Digital payments
- Any merchant accepting Mastercard
ALIAS Privacy Protocol
Optional zero-knowledge proof-based privacy layer using Light Protocol:
- Privacy Pool Mixing: Deposits mixed with other users for anonymity
- Groth16 ZK Proofs: Cryptographic proofs for untraceable withdrawals
- Commitment System: Secret notes enable anonymous card issuance
- Nullifier Protection: On-chain verification prevents double-spending
Privacy is Optional
Most users choose standard cards for speed and simplicity. Enable privacy only if you need complete on-chain anonymity.
Payment Methods
Two ways to fund your ALIAS card:
1. x402 Protocol (Primary)
- Direct Solana payment protocol
- Browser-based wallet integration
- Instant settlement and verification
- Optimized for desktop users
2. Solana Pay (Alternative)
- QR code-based payment flow
- Session management system
- Mobile-optimized experience
- Cross-device support
Both methods support USDC, SOL, and other SPL tokens on Solana.
How It Works (High-Level)
Creating an ALIAS card involves these simple steps:
- Connect Your Wallet: Link your Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, etc.)
- Choose Payment Method: Select x402 (direct payment) or Solana Pay (QR code)
- Complete Payment: Approve the transaction in your wallet with USDC, SOL, or other tokens
- Card Provisioning: System creates your card instantly or assigns a pre-created card
- Receive Card Details: Get your virtual Mastercard number, CVV, and expiration date
For privacy-focused users, an optional privacy layer allows funds to be mixed in a pool before card issuance, ensuring complete anonymity using zero-knowledge proofs.
